Dear Disappointed Teacher,
You thought it would work. It didn’t.
You thought it was a good idea. Turns out, it wasn’t.
You tried something new. It failed.
You tried to regroup. You never could.
You stuck your neck out. It was broken.
You put your heart on the line. It was shattered.
You knew it would be a big hit. Instead, it was a big flop.
You knew you could do it. Turns out, you couldn’t.
You wanted to be a winner. Instead, you feel like a loser.
You wanted to be picked. You weren’t.
You were sure you had passed. Nope. You failed. Again.
You were sure it wouldn’t bother you. It does.
You told yourself it was pointless. You know it isn’t.
You told yourself you wouldn’t try again. Deep down, you know you will.
If you didn’t, could you even call yourself a teacher?
